چکیده

We describe an algorithm to generate temperature and polarization maps of the cosmic microwave background radiation containing non–Gaussianity of arbitrary local type. We apply an optimized quadrature scheme that allows us to predict and control integration accuracy, speed up the calculations, and reduce memory consumption by an order of magnitude. We generate 1000 non– Gaussian CMB temperature and polarization maps up to a multipole moment of `max = 1024. We validate the method and code using the power spectrum and the fast cubic (bispectrum) estimator and find consistent results. The simulations are provided to the community. Lensed CMB temperature and polarization maps from the Millennium Simulation

We have constructed the first all-sky CMB temperature and polarization lensed maps based on a high-resolution cosmological N -body simulation, the Millennium Simulation (MS). We have exploited the lensing potential map obtained using a map-making procedure (Carbone et al. 2008) which integrates along the line-of-sight the MS dark matter distribution by stacking and randomizing the simulation bo...

Simulation of Cosmic Microwave Background Polarization Fields for AMiBA Experiment

We have made a topological study of cosmic microwave background (CMB) polarization maps by simulating the AMiBA experiment results. A ΛCDM CMB sky is adopted to make mock interferometric observations designed for the AMiBA experiment. CMB polarization fields are reconstructed from the AMiBA mock visibility data using the maximum entropy method. We have also considered effects of Galactic foregr...

Making CMB temperature and polarization maps with Madam

MADAM is a CMB map-making code, designed to make temperature and polarization maps of time-ordered data of total power experiments like Planck. The algorithm is based on the destriping technique, but it also makes use of known noise properties in the form of a noise prior. The method in its early form was presented in an earlier work by Keihänen et al. (2005). In this paper we present an update...

Simulation of non-Gaussian CMB maps

A simple method is presented for the rapid simulation of statistically-isotropic non-Gaussian maps of CMB temperature fluctuations with a given power spectrum and analyticallycalculable bispectrum and higher-order polyspectra. The nth-order correlators of the pixel values may also be calculated analytically. The cumulants of the simulated map may be used to obtain an expression for the probabil...

CMB Lensing: Polarization, Large-Scale Structure and the Primordial Bispectrum

Gravitational lensing of photons in the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) can be described by an integrated potential along the line of sight, the CMB lensing potential. Covariances in maps of the CMB are generated by the lensing effect, and are used to reconstruct the lensing potential itself, which is a useful probe of the matter distribution. The CMB lensing potential has been measured to hi...
